Face fit testing
What is face fit?
Face fit is a process which ensures a person is fitted correctly to a
tight-fitting mask. It involves using a hood which is placed over the
persons head, this hood is then filled with a harmless substance called Bittrex or Saccharin.
If the person can taste the substance while conducting a series of
exercises the mask does not fit.
How long does a face fit test take?
Each session takes approximately 25-30 minutes from start to finish.
Why is a face fit necessary?
We all have different shaped faces; this means that one mask doesn’t fit everybody.
Face fit is a method which is used to ensure a mask is suitable for a person.
